Who I Am
I am a third-year Mechanical Engineering student at Nirma University, Ahmedabad, with a deep focus on autonomous robotics and robot navigation systems. My work spans the full stack — from mechanical assembly design in SolidWorks to low-level sensor fusion and high-level mission planning in ROS2.
My primary technical focus is the ROS2 ecosystem. I build and tune complete autonomous navigation stacks using Nav2, SLAM Toolbox, and Adaptive Monte Carlo Localisation, with an Extended Kalman Filter fusing wheel odometry and IMU data into a reliable pose estimate. I am currently implementing custom path planning algorithms from scratch — as Nav2 plugins — for both differential drive and three-wheel omnidirectional swerve configurations, going meaningfully beyond default planner behaviour.
On the mechanical side, I design full robot assemblies in SolidWorks — chassis structures, custom drivetrain geometries and structural subsystems — with manufacturing tolerances built in from the start. These designs go directly to fabrication and onto the competition floor.
As a two-time national podium finisher at DD Robocon — the 2024 campaign ended in a national championship; the 2025 campaign, with an entirely new robot and theme, ended as first runners up — I understand what it means to engineer under pressure and deliver reliably when it counts.
